Investment Banking CertificationQuestion: How much do entry level investment banking professionals make (starting wages)?

Answer: Entry level (analyst) compensation can vary wildly depending upon on the size of the bank and the job location. In any case, few people would argue that the compensation is low – bankers are very handsomely rewarded for their efforts. For the large banks in major financial centers such as New York, entry-level analysts might be paid in the range of sixty to seventy thousand dollars in base salary. They are also eligible for (and expect to get) bonuses; entry-level bankers were recently reported to have earned bonuses in the fifty to sixty thousand dollar range for first-year analysts and in the sixty five to eighty thousand dollar range for second-year analysts.
