Investment Banking CertificationQuestion: Is there normal dress attire associated with an investment banking career?

Answer: Yes, there are customary (and even written) dress codes for careers in investment banking. The codes vary by country and even by office within a county, so it is best to check with specific firms for interviews or the first day on the job. In general, the business formal code is used; this includes suit and tie for men and skirt or pants suits for women. Some offices may have a business casual policy, especially for certain days (such as Fridays during summer). In some instances, attire may be dictated by the day’s meetings such as avoiding suits for a meeting at a California high-tech business.
