Investment Banking CertificationQuestion: Where do investment banking professionals normally work?

Answer: Investment bankers normally work in the offices of major banking institutions. In the United States, New York is the head of the investment banking world, but many national/global banks also have regional offices in cities including San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and other major cities. Around the globe, other hubs of investment banking include London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo with many further investment banking employees located in major global cities such as Paris, Sydney, Frankfurt and Zurich. There are also numerous regional investment banks in the US and other countries; regional banks may specialize in servicing local companies or they may focus in a particular industry niche.
